Universal Pictures (legally Universal City Studios LLC, also known as Universal Studios, and formerly named Universal Film Manufacturing Company and Universal-International Pictures Inc.) is an American film studio owned by Comcast through the NBCUniversal Film and Entertainment division of its wholly owned subsidiary NBCUniversal.

Why They Rock

  1. It was the very first major American movie company in history.
  2. Its official mascot, Woody Woodpecker, is well-done.
  3. The most iconic globe logo is great.
  4. By 2004, it perfectly acquired the broadcasting TV network, NBC.
  5. Great acting in a lot of films made by them.
  6. They managed to create franchises like Woody Woodpecker (its flagship franchise), Despicable Me, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, The Land Before Time, Jaws, The Fast and the Furious etc.
  7. Awesome soundtrack for the majority of the films.
  8. Most of their characters are likeable and iconic like Norman Bates, Quint, The Bandit, Bluto, E.T., Doc and Marty, John Bender, Littlefoot, Dominic Toreno Jason Bourne, the Minions and Chris Washington .
  9. It is one of the most successful studios along with Disney, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures and Paramount.

Bad Qualities

  1. They made some bad movies, and some are the worst of all time like the live-action Cat in the Hat adaption, Howard the Duck and Cats.
  2. A lot of their films have bombed at the box-office.
