Inception is a 2010 science fiction action thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan for his 7th film, who also produced the film with his wife, Emma Thomas. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious and is offered a chance to have his criminal history erased as payment for the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious. Inception's premiere was held in London on July 8, 2010; it was released in both conventional and IMAX theaters beginning on July 16, 2010.

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a thief with the rare ability to enter people's dreams and steal their secrets from their subconscious. His skill has made him a hot commodity in the world of corporate espionage but has also cost him everything he loves. Cobb gets a chance at redemption when he is offered a seemingly impossible task: Plant an idea in someone's mind. If he succeeds, it will be a perfect crime, but a dangerous enemy anticipates Cobb's every move.

Why The Dream Is Real

  1. Its known for its impressive visual effects that perfectly blend in with the dream sequences.
  2. It has a good amount of nonsense thrown into the plot.
  3. The ensemble cast gives off great performances, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Elliot Page (who was Ellen Page until coming out transgender in December 2020), and Joseph Gordon-Levitt being the best standouts.
  4. Christopher Nolan makes yet another great film with his amazing direction.
  5. Hans Zimmer's musical score is well done and fitting for each scene in the movie.
  6. The rotating hallway fight scene is amazing, with the later part turning into a zero gravity scene with excellent effects, due Yusrf and the crew prepare to go under water due to the attacks from the henchmen.
  7. Likable and entertaining characters, such as Mr. Cobb.
  8. It does a perfect job of making it to where you sometimes don't know if the characters are dreaming or not.
  9. It also does a perfect job of dealing with dreams and discussing what separates a dream from reality.
    • Also, there are instances of lucid dreaming in the movie too.
  10. The endless amounts of explosions and surreal imagery make the whole thing so iconic.
  11. It's highly fast-paced and packed with action throughout.
  12. They got the "Non, je ne regrette rien" song to play in the movie, so the song is connected with hypnic jerk for most of scenes.
  13. The concept of people have been given the ability to control their dreams after a quick zap to their head while they sleep instead of nightime is unique.

The Only Bad Quality

  1. Sometimes the plot can be confusing, so a second watch is a must-do, even though there being tons of exposition.
