Goldfinger is a 1964 spy film directed by Guy Hamilton. It is the third film in the James Bond franchise, following From Russia With Love and preceeding Thunderball.
James Bond must stop Auric Goldfinger's plans to contaminate Fort Knox.
Why it Rocks
- The first James Bond film to have an original theme song.
- Solid performances, especially by Sean Connery and Gert Frobe.
- It introduces the Aston Martin DB5, which would go on to become the most famous Bond car, as well as one of the most famous cars in cinema history.
- Superb set design. The Fort Knox set in particular, is stunningly realistic.
